Orchestra Wellington has notched up a unique achievement: it may well be the only orchestra in the world to complete its 2020 season (albeit with a little juggling of dates and soloists).
"The pandemic year for Orchestra Wellington has been the busiest year we've had," says Music Director Marc Taddei.
Marc has been the orchestra’s music director since 2007, and is renowned for the creativity and intelligence of his programming with Orchestra Wellington.
He spoke to Upbeat about the thinking behind Season 2021, which takes as its starting point the idea of the virtuoso, whether it be Virtuoso Violin, Virtuoso Voices, Virtuoso Piano, or even the ensemble as a whole: Virtuoso Orchestra.
