Michael Vinten is probably best known as a conductor, mostly in the operatic repertoire. But he’s also one of the recipients of the inaugural Lilburn Research Awards from the Alexander Turnbull Library and the Lilburn Trust.
The subject Michael will be researching is the little-known New Zealand Art Song repertoire pre-1950. He'll be delving into the contents of the Archive of New Zealand Music at the Alexander Turnbull Library.
