Pianist Michael Houstoun has put his proposed retirement on hold for now as he prepares to begin a busy schedule of concert performances throughout the country.

Michael is now back on the road, opening the first concert with live audience for the Auckland Philharmonia Orchestra next week.
He talks with Eva Radich about his new expectations for 2020, shares some thoughts on whether classical music is appropriate for digital streaming, and explains why live performance matters so much to him.
