New Zealand Opera's production of 'Eight Songs for a Mad King' is currently on at the Auckland Arts Festival.
RNZ's Justin Gregory went along to the opening performance and was impressed by what he saw and heard: "This whole show is terrific, mostly terribly well thought out and well-realised staging of an intriguing piece of music and an intriguing text."
"This performance demands a really skilful and committed singer and Robert Tucker is there 110%."
