Palmerston North hosts the New Zealand Military Tattoo on April 4 this year.
The tattoo will feature three world-renowned military bands and pipers, drummers, and brass bands from across the country.
Champion bagpiper Murray Mansfield will be the Pipe Major (and Lone Piper) for the Tattoo, as well as musical director for the five participating pipe bands.
Murray served with the New Zealand Air Force for 27 years as an Aircraft Technician at Ohakea, and during this time performed with the Air Force Band.
He talked to Eva Radich about the tattoo coming up in Palmerston North.
