Tony Chen Lin on tour

New Zealand pianist Tony Chen Lin is touring the country for Chamber Music New Zealand.

He’s already played in Rangiora, Cromwell and Gore; the North Island leg of his tour starts in Kerikeri on Friday – he’ll be travelling to 10 more centres after that, ending up in Wellington on September 29th.

Tony Chen Lin studied composition and piano at the University of Canterbury, and then moved to Europe to complete his Masters.

He’s currently based in Budapest but was recently back in New Zealand to play in the newly re-opened Christchurch Town Hall, in a Mozart two-piano concerto with Michael Houstoun.

Prior to this, Tony was tasked with selecting a new Steinway concert grand for the Christchurch Town Hall.

Tony Chen Lin continues his tour for Chamber Music New Zealand this week, starting in Kerikeri on 13 September then visits Warkworth, Whangarei, Upper Hutt, Motueka, Whanganui, Taihape, Waikanae, Rotorua, Gisborne and Wellington.
