War and peace is at the heart of a new music and arts festival coming to the North Island.
It was founded by cellist Sherry Grant and starts this week, running until the end of the month.
The festival features music, masterclasses and art exhibitions and auctions.
Among the performers is Milan Milisavljević, principal viola with the Metropolitan Opera Orchestra.
He’s worked with some of the leading orchestras around the world including spending 12 years at the MET, served as guest Principal Viola with Toronto Symphony and was a member of the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra.
