The restored National War Memorial Carillon is unveiled in Wellington and we mark the birthday of 17th century French composer Marin Marais, one of the earliest composers of programme music.

Carillon Bells will be heard regularly at Pukeahu National War Memorial Park after 3 years of being restored.

1pm Sarah Watkins says farewell to NZTrio

NZTrio pianist Sarah Watkins is performing for the last time with the trio this week. She was one of the founding members along with Ashley Brown and Justin Cormack. Sarah reflects on her time with NZTrio, looks ahead to what’s next and chooses some of her favourite music.

Hungarian folk-singer Márta Sebestyén and hurdy-gurdy specialist Béla Szerényi are here for concerts celebrating the fifteenth anniversary of the Magyar Millennium Park for Hungarians in New Zealand. Márta found international fame as the voice of the film The English Patient and became a UNESCO Artist for Peace. She talks about how folk music can connect peoples across borders.
