Cellist Matthias Balzat, tenor Filipe Manu and soprano Katherine McIndoe have been awarded the Patricia Pratt Scholarships for 2018 which will allow them to continue their postgraduate development at top international music schools & we celebrate 40 years of the BBC Young Musician competition.

1pm CSO bringing Berlin and Broadway to Christchurch

The glitz and glamour of Germany’s Weimar Republic and the bright lights of Broadway are coming to the Garden City this weekend. The Christchurch Symphony Orchestra brings alive the music of Germany’s most revered musical theatre composer, Kurt Weill. Conductor Luke di Somma and opera star Amelia Berry offer a glimpse into the world of Weill and why his music is still relevant today.
