Amalia Hall has a big job on her hands this week; she’s playing all six of Ysaye's virtuosic solo sonatas this Saturday as part of the Auckland Fringe Festival.

Amalia's successes include winning first prize at five international competitions and laureate prizes in numerous others, after winning all of New Zealand's national competitions as a teenager.

Recently appointed as Concertmaster of Orchestra Wellington,  Amalia still travels overseas often for soloist work,  and, as she tells Eva Radich this year is shaping up to be another very busy time.

She chooses her favourite parts of the Ysaye sonatas.
