The Auckland Philharmonia Orchestra will be among the world’s first orchestras to present a one-of-a-kind live concert experience performing the soundtrack from La La Land live alongside a full screening of the film later this year. The orchestral film deal is one of the first put together by the APO's new Head of Operations Paul Christ who has a mixed background in commercial shows and more traditional orchestral work. Eva Radich talks to him to find out what new opportunities these types of international concerts offer the orchestra.
