School children to rock Coastella

From Upbeat, 1:40 pm on 24 January 2017

Local school children will take to the stage alongside The Nukes as part of this year’s Coastella Music Festival. Musicians visiting the Kapiti Coast for the festival will give workshops and performances in schools to encourage children to grab a ukulele in the hope of getting them on stage. David Parker is driving the initiative, along with Coastella director Gerry Paul. The festival held at Southwards Car Muesum on the Kapiti Coast, is in its second year and has attracted the likes of Eb & Sparrow, The Phoenix Foundation and Warren Maxwell.
