In May New Zealand artist Francis Upritchard and jeweller Karl Fritsch joined Upbeat to discuss their work together. The Germans have a word for it: Gesumptkunsthandwerk: the marriage of art, craft and design. Francis creates enigmatic figures often adorned with Karl's rings. City Galley Wellington mounted a large scale retrospective of Francis Upritchard's work under the title Jealous Saboteurs.
