The New Zealand Symphony Orchestra went to the movies this weekend, playing the scores of two famous Hitchcock films Vertigo and Psycho. The music, written by Bernard Herrmann took the audience on a suspenseful ride, while the films were projected on a big screen behind the orchestra. Dominic Groom discusses whether the performances made the hair on the back of his neck stand up.
