Bryan Crump was after something else when he recorded his final "Sonic" Moment of Calm for 2025.
His aim was to capture the ship-horn of a Cooks Strait ferry on a calm day, echoing across the harbour.
Alas, the ferry was running late, but Crump noticed a steady stream of swimmers taking the waters of Wellington's Oriental Bay, and recorded them instead.
Some are returning from a lap around the buoys, others are leaping in, but the general vibe is one of peace and calm on a lovely early summer's day.
