Alicia Olatuja was one of the headline artists at the 2019 Wellington Jazz Festival. We hear songs from her album “Intuition: Songs from the Minds of Women” .

Trumpeter Ambrose Akinmusire is regarded as the hottest trumpeter around. He was also a major artist at the 2019 Wellington Jazz Festival. Akinmusire veers from classical to hip-hop throwing down a challenge to the legacy of Miles Davis by being his own man.
