In 2020, Ihlara McIndoe was selected as an Inspiring Explorer with the Antarctic Heritage Trust, and consequently travelled to Antarctica. There she collected audio recordings that she’s used as inspiration for a community engagement project revolving around exploration and preservation, which itself has generated several creative endeavours.
Ephemeral Bounds is one of the works that sprang from this once-in-a lifetime experience.
