Hailing from the serene shores of the East Coast of the North Island it’s no surprise Maisey Rika’s music has moulded to bring such elegance that resonates beauty. A mix of Māori, folk, acoustic, soul and easy listening, her musical palette is vibrant with elements of roots and deep culture.

Composer, practitioner and cross genre collaborator, Horomona Horo has fused the traditional instruments of the Maori, taonga puoro within a diverse range of cultural and musical forms.

'Tangaroa Whakamautai' tells of the commander of the tides, Tangaroa, and the precious life-forms of the ocean.

The various waterways of Tangaroa,
Flow back into its voluminous source [x 3]

The vast expanse,
The heart of the ocean
The life-force of Tangaroa
Tangaroa: Commander of the Tides.
