In 2002 she wrote a three-movement work called City Scape, a musical tribute to the city of Atlanta where she spent ten years of her childhood.

“river sings a song to trees” is the second movement and as we might expect from such a title, the music paints a pastoral picture of the city’s parks, trees, creeks and rivers.
