Trumpeter Håkan Hardenberger will be in New Zealand later this year. Here he's at Carnegie Hall with the Boston Symphony Orchestra conducted by Andris Nelsons.

Hardenberger showcases his skills on the piccolo trumpet and cow horn, as well as his voice, in HK Gruber’s 'Aerial', a concerto composed especially for him.

Mahler’s Fifth Symphony is a sprawling work that tugs at your every emotion, from the opening trumpet calls to the finale’s magnificent peaks.

Programme:

H K GRUBER: Aerial;
