Music Alive for Wednesday 17 April 2019
Izabella Simon, Dénes Várjon, Cristine Gerwig, Efraín González Ruano, Yseult Jost, and Domingos Costa entertain us with music for piano, four hands and eight hands.
Listening to the piano adaptations of pieces like Beethoven's Fifth Symphony, you might just hear things your ear has gotten used to ignoring in the original. We have three fascinating piano duos with original works and adaptations, familiar and unfamiliar pieces – and a whole lotta notes.
Izabella Simon & Dénes Várjon have also been guests in New Zealand at the Adam Chamber Music Festival in Nelson.
