Deutsche Welle Festival: Russian National Orchestra

Pianist turned conductor Mikhail Pletnev is really the star of this concert by the Russian National Orchestra, which he founded.

The Beethovenfest concert has a name: Quintessence, and it's about composers’ last works.

The ones on the playbill are by Rossini, Schumann, Beethoven and Shostakovich.
