NZ Festival 2018: A New Zealand Partita
Pianist Stephen De Pledge plays pieces by seven NZ composers, inspired by BACH’s Partita No 3 in A minor BWV 827.
The seven pieces were commissioned by De Pledge for this concert and each time he plays first a movement from Bach's Partita and then the piece inspired by it.
He says, "These movements have drawn from the New Zealand composers a wonderfully varied set of responses - but once again, as with the Landscape Preludes, I was delighted to discover that they form a fascinating and cohesive whole."
