Koo Nimo: Highlife Roots Revival

Sit back and relax to the sounds of palm-wine music today in Global Sounds. This genre dominated Ghana’s popular music throughout most of the twentieth century, and took its name from the tipple drunk at outdoor gatherings where musicians played guitars and swapped their songs. This afternoon we feature veteran exponent Koo Nimo with music recorded in the courtyard of his home in Ghana (Riverboat TUGCD 1064)
