Chatma – Tamikrest

This week’s Global Sounds features music from the desert blues band Tamikrest, with music from their latest album Chatma. The title means ‘sisters’ and the band have dedicated the album to the courage of the Tuareg women who, they say, have ensured both their children's survival and the morals of their fathers and brothers (Glitterbeat 900809)
