Navigation for NZCT Chamber Music Contest

The New Zealand Community Trust Chamber Music Contest, run by Chamber Music New Zealand, is the only nationwide chamber music competition for young musicians and composers and in 2014 entries involved 1685 students from throughout the country.

Twelve semi-finalist ensembles – five from Auckland, four from Christchurch, and one each from Whangarei, Hamilton and Wellington - were selected following 15 district contests in June 2014. The National Finals weekend was held over two days in Christchurch. Following the semi-finalist rounds, six ensembles were selected to compete in the National Final concert where the overall winner was decided.
