(1) Megan Collins introduces her series on the musical journeys of migrant New Zealanders. Taking a broad historical approach to the term migrant, Collins includes her own family’s European colonial history alongside the music of Serbian, Cambodian, Samoan and Iranian immigrants to Aotearoa (RNZ)

Tim Dodd talks to the Auckland Philharmonia Orchestra’s Music Director and Chief Conductor. He’s a man of prodigious energy who also holds positions at Görlitz Opera and the Neue Lausitz Philharmonic Orchestra. His performances with the APO of symphonies by Mahler, Rachmaninov and Shostakovich and the operas Salome, Elektra and Das Rheingold have been among the most exciting musical events in the city in recent memory (RNZ)
