Home for Dinner - by Rachel O'Connor

From the collecton Short Stories

‘Home for Dinner’ is one of a series of stories that have emerged out of my current research into official and personal accounts of New Zealand military participation in World Wars, and the survivors' experiences of homecoming, the weight of memory and guilt, and their struggle to resume being and identity in the wake of trauma.
