At least 55 people have been killed and more than 200 others wounded in a series of bombings in Iraq.
The BBC reports most of them were in the capital Baghdad. Police officers and checkpoints in predominantly Shia areas were targetted.
There were also attacks in Mosul, Kirkuk and the province of Salahuddin.
Curfews are in effect in Tikrit, the capital of Salahuddin, and in Hilla, in Babil province, south of Baghdad.
