A rare cast of the death mask of Soviet dictator Joseph Stalin has been sold to an anonymous bidder for £3600 at an auction in England.
The BBC reports the cast was taken in bronze from the original plaster death mask by an art dealer who was visiting Moscow in 1990. It was one of 12.
The lot included casts of Stalin's right hand and his withered left hand.
Official portraits of the Soviet dictator always hid his deformed left hand.
Stalin died in 1953.
