A cyclone is expected to weaken into a tropical low as it continues its journey inland across Western Australia's Pilbara Coast.
Heidi crossed the coast in Western Australia's north-west near Port Hedland earlier on Thursday, tearing down trees and damaging homes in the town.
Engineers are working to restore power to about half of Port Hedland's 7000 residents on Thursday night, the ABC reports.
Heavy rainfall continues to affect the region, with between 100 and 250 millimetres of rain likely to fall south and east of the cyclone's path.
The Fire and Emergency Services Authority has issued an all-clear, advising residents it is safe to return home.
