Clarke sparkles again as Australia win Test by an innings

Australian captain Michael Clarke was influential with both bat and ball as Australia wrapped up a convincing innings and 68-run victory over India in the second Test at the SCG on Friday.

A 103-run partnership between Sachin Tendulkar and VVS Laxman briefly had the Aussies wringing their hands before a middle-order collapse, sparked by man-of-the-match Clarke, secured a 2-0 lead in the series.

Clarke claimed the vital wicket of Tendulkar for 80 after lunch, once again denying the Indian legend a chance to reach his 100th international hundred.

Ben Hilfenhaus finished with 5-106 as India were bowled out for 400 in the final session.

Clarke is the star of the Test after his record-breaking 329 not out.
