Usain Bolt has stormed to a men's 200 metres gold medal at the world athletics championships in South Korea in the third fastest time of his career.
The Jamaican put behind him the humiliation of his 100 metres disqualification for a false start six days earlier to take the 200 metres in 19.40 seconds on Saturday.
The 25-year-old, who set the world record of 19.19 in winning the title in Berlin two years ago, has struggled to regain top form after a back injury ended his 2010 season prematurely, but was back to his best on the penultimate day of competition.
Only he and Michael Johnson have run 19.40 or faster over 200 metres.
There was disappointment for New Zealand's 1500 metres runner Nick Willis, who was last in the final, three seconds behind the winner from Kenya, the Olympic champion, Asbel Kiprop.
Stuart Farquhar finished 11th in the javelin final, more than seven metres off the pace set by winner Matthias de Zordo of Germany.
