Seven people, including child, have died in a gun battle between feuding villagers in the Dagestan region of Russia.
Several people were also taken to hospital with injuries.
Police say a fight erupted between residents of two villages in the Untsukulsky district early on Tuesday.
Russian media report around 20 men from neighbouring villages were drawn into the incident which occurred near a petrol station about 50km from the regional capital, Makhachkala.
A regional police officer told the RIA news agency the shooting had been ''of a domestic nature''.
