Officials in Russia say a cargo plane has crashed in the far eastern Kolyma region after its engine failed, killing 11 people.
The Antonov-12 plane, which was delivering 16 tonnes of food to the region of Chukotka on Tuesday, caught fire and requested permission to make an emergency return to the city of Magadan soon after take off.
It then disappeared off the radar.
