A Moroccan military transport plane has crashed into a mountain in in the south of the country killing 78 people.
The military said the C-130 Hercules was trying to land during bad weather in Guelmim, having flown north from the disputed Western Sahara territory.
A resident in the area says there was thick fog at the time of the crash. Sixty soldiers, 12 civilians and nine crew members were on board.
Three injured survivors had been found, the military statement said.
The crash, which occurred on Tuesday, is Morocco's worst known air disaster since 1973, when 105 people were killed after a Royal Air Maroc aircraft crashed near the capital Rabat.
Morocco keeps the majority of its soldiers in Western Sahara, a territory that Rabat annexed in 1975.
