A British member of parliament has been arrested on suspicion of sexually assaulting a woman in central London
Police are not confirming the identity of the accused, but British media have named him as Andrew Bridgen, the Conservative MP for Leicestershire North West.
A police statement says a 46-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of sexual assault against a 29-year-old woman at a central London address in the early hours of Thursday.
He has been remanded on bail.
