The government of Bahrain has sacked 293 workers at a state oil company for taking part in recent anti-government protests.
Energy Minister Abdul-Hussain bin Ali Mirza was quoted as saying union leaders at Bahrain Petroleum Co would also be prosecuted.
Bahrain is under a state of emergency since protests began in February.
Neighbouring Gulf states sent troops to back Bahrain's forces during the initial crackdown.
Bahrain accuses Iran of helping instigate the protests.
