Egypt has reopened many of its museums and historical sites, which have been closed since the civil uprising started in January.

Tourists visiting the Egyptian Museum in Cairo, which houses Tutankhamun's golden death mask, among many priceless historical relics, were welcomed by staff with roses.

The museum is situated on Tahrir Square - the focal point of the Egyptian unrest.
