Another Australian soldier has been killed in Afghanistan.
The Defence Force says Richard Atkinson, 22, of Darwin, was killed by a roadside bomb. Another soldier was seriously wounded.
He is now in a satisfactory condition in hospital.
The ABC reports they were on a foot patrol in the Orezgan province.
Corporal Atkinson was on his first deployment to Afghanistan.
Twenty-two Australians soldiers have now been killed since Australia sent troops to Afghanistan in 2001.
