Severe storms have eased in southeast Queensland after the region was hit by more than 12,000 lightning strikes on Friday.
The ABC reports more than 8000 homes and businesses were without power on Friday night.
The Bureau of Meteorology says only "a very slight" chance of storms remained in south-east Queensland.
More than 35,000 lightning strikes were recorded during a series of storms on Thursday.
