At least two people have been killed in a shooting at a courthouse in Bavaria, in the south of Germany, according to police.
Others were reported to have been injured in the attack in Landshut, 73km north-east of Munich.
A police spokesman said the gunman was believed to have killed himself. It was not clear who else died in the shooting.
The courthouse was evacuated after the shooting, which began at about 10.15am local time.
The shooting comes less than a month after a teenager went on a gun rampage in and around his former school in in Winnenden, south-west Germany, killing 15 people.
