New flood threats in Pakistan

11:17 am on 14 September 2010

Pakistan is facing new flood threats. Tens of thousands of people have fled towns in the Dadu district of Sindh.

Officials say more have been asked to leave, after water reached a dangerous level in Pakistan's largest freshwater lake.

The floods are the country's worst natural disaster in terms of damage, with more than six million people forced from their homes and 20 million people affected.

The International Labour Organisation says the flood has also affected more than five million jobs.

The ILO says most of those left jobless are in the agriculture and trade industry.
