Two quakes in Pacific

Two earthquakes of magnitude 6.4 have occurred east-north-east of Fiji.

The US Geological Survey says they were about a minute apart at 5.15am on Wednesday (1615 GMT on Tuesday).

They were initially reported as magnitude 6.6 and were centred between Fiji and Wallis and Futuna, at a depth of 33km.

No tsunami warning has been issued.
