Last golf season for Charles

Sir Bob Charles of New Zealand is to play his last Senior British Open, which tees off at Carnoustie on Thursday.

Charles, 74, now plays only select events around the world these days and says this will be his last summer of golf in Europe.

He won the event in 1993 and was invited to compete in Scotland this week.

It's a quality field with defending champion Loren Roberts along with Tom Watson, Tom Lehmann, American Ryder Cup captain Corey Pavin and four of the last five European Ryder Cup captains: Ian Woosnam, Mark James, Bernhard Langer and Sam Torrance.
