The world's longest tennis match finally ended at Wimbledon when John Isner claimed the fifth set of a three-day epic against Nicolas Mahut of France 70-68 after 11 hours and five minutes on court.

The American 23rd seed ended the contest with a backhand passing shot.

Play had been suspended the day due to bad light after 10 hours with the score at 59-59.

As the packed court applauded both players, Isner confessed to feeling a little bit tired.
