The BBC has announced the long-running comedy show The Last of the Summer Wine is to end after 37 years.
The series - which followed the exploits of Compo, Nora Batty and friends - made its debut in 1973.
Over the years it featured a number of famous faces including Eric Sykes, Dame Thora Hird and Bill Owen as Compo.
BBC One Controller Jay Hunt says the final series will be a fitting farewell to the well-loved characters.
