The world's richest cricket tournament, the Indian Premier League, has appointed an interim chairman, following the suspension of its founder over corruption allegations.

Cricket authorities are bringing more than 20 charges against Lalit Modi, including rigging the bidding process for franchises and misappropriating funds.

Mr Modi has denied any wrongdoing.

He has been replaced on a temporary basis by Chirayu Amin, an industrialist and head of the Baroda Cricket Association.
