The British ambassador to Yemen has escaped unharmed from a bomb blast that targeted his convoy in the capital Sanaa.
The ambassador was on his way to the embassy when the bomb exploded near his convoy.
One person, believed to be a suicide bomber, was killed in the explosion and three others were injured.
Yemen has for years been battling al-Qaeda and other militant groups.
In September 2008, two suicide bombers from a group linked to al Qaeda set off a series of explosions outside the heavily fortified U.S. embassy in Sanaa, killing 16 people.
