Two nuclear reactors at a power plant in Southern Russia have been temporarily shut down because of safety concerns.
Russia's surgeon-general, Gennady Onishenko, is assuring the public there is no danger to the population and that radioactivity levels around the Volgodonsk nuclear power plant are normal.
It is the second incident involving steam generator failure at the plant in the last fortnight.
On 26 December the generator shut down due to electrical wiring problems.
It is estimated that repairs to the plant will take four days.
